Again Battery
About
Again Battery Co. makes portable chargers from second-life lithium-ion cells recovered from decommissioned electric vehicles and electronics.
The company tests and matches the reclaimed cells, pairs them with custom electronics, and validates each pack as a complete system. Its current power bank holds 6,000 mAh, or 22.2 Wh, of NMC cells. It has a single 15 W USB-C port and protection against over-charge, over-drain, over-current and short circuits.
Again began in 2020, when founder Jonah Mikesell sold chargers built in candy tins at art fairs in Cincinnati, Ohio. It grew to more than 2,000 sales through Etsy and TikTok Shop, and in 2025 won the President's Buckeye Accelerator Finale.
