Battery Business Directory

Common questions

Find a starting point for your battery supplier search.

Where can I find battery suppliers?

Start with a reviewed supplier list for the part of the supply chain you need: cells, materials, or manufacturing equipment. Each list explains its selection criteria and groups companies by role. Use the full directory for a broader search, then investigate the company profiles and their supporting sources.

Which companies manufacture battery cells?

The reviewed cell-manufacturer list identifies companies with evidence of cell manufacturing. Manufacturing cells is different from distributing, testing, or modeling them. Some manufacturers make cells for their own use, so list inclusion does not establish that cells are available to outside buyers. Confirm current offerings directly with the company.

Who supplies equipment for battery manufacturing?

The reviewed manufacturing-equipment list groups companies by production process, including electrode and cell manufacturing, formation and aging, and module and pack assembly. Start with the process you need, then compare the listed capabilities. A company’s presence does not establish fit for a particular chemistry, throughput, or project.

Who supplies formation and aging equipment for battery cells?

Start with the formation and aging section of the reviewed manufacturing-equipment list. Compare the listed capabilities, open the company profiles and follow the company websites to check your project requirements. A listing does not establish a particular throughput, chemistry fit or current availability.

How can I find battery companies in the United States?

Use the directory’s headquarters-country filter to find companies headquartered in the United States. Reviewed country editions may also include companies with a recorded site there, as their criteria explain. Headquarters and site locations do not by themselves establish US manufacturing, product origin, or sales availability.

Does a directory listing mean a supplier is certified or endorsed?

No. VBD is a company-discovery resource, not supplier certification or a complete market census. Source coverage and review depth vary across profiles. Check the supporting sources and dates, and confirm current capabilities and availability with the company. Volta membership and a Battery Report mention are not product endorsements.
