About
AMG Lithium makes battery-grade lithium hydroxide in Germany for the European battery industry, using spodumene concentrate from its parent group's own mine in Brazil.
Its products run from spodumene concentrate to lithium hydroxide and sulfide materials, including lithium sulfide for solid-state batteries. It is a subsidiary of AMG Critical Materials N.V., a group in critical metals, mineral products and vacuum furnace systems with about 3,600 employees. Its site is at Industriepark Höchst in Frankfurt.
The 2025 Battery Report notes that in September 2025 AMG Lithium opened Europe's first lithium hydroxide refinery, with capacity for 20,000 tons a year.
