Idaho National Laboratory (INL) actively conducts and communicates battery-related research and technology development. INL highlights include the Advanced Electrolyte Model (AEM) to improve battery performance, and INL's Battery & Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Flow Battery Energy Storage System programs studied and documented by INL, along with INL white papers on related topics. These references show INL contributing foundational science and testbeds for grid-ready energy storage and battery technology, rather than manufacturing finished battery products.
