IMPACT Silver Corp provides battery energy storage integration at its Plomosas high-grade zinc-silver mine in Mexico, installing a Tesla Megapack 2 XL battery energy storage system paired with a solar plant to create a microgrid. The system has a capacity of 960 kW / 3,840 kWh (4-hour) and is complemented by a 2,200 kW solar plant with AI-controlled energy management for off-grid operation (with diesel backup). This project aims to reduce CO2 emissions from diesel generation by about 90%.
