Intl Zinc Association promotes zinc-based battery technology through its Zinc Battery Initiative (ZBI), launched in 2020 to advance safe, sustainable, and low-cost energy storage. ZBI delivers technology development, R&D, and market advocacy for rechargeable zinc batteries used in data centers, grid storage, and renewables, including stationary storage, mobility applications like e-bikes and forklifts, and specialized thin, flexible zinc cells.
