ITW Formex is a global manufacturer of Formex insulating materials used in electronics and high-voltage systems. Formex materials are flame-retardant electrical insulation designed for EV battery packs, including battery covers, separators, module barriers, as well as busbar insulation and charging-infrastructure insulation. They offer polypropylene Formex with die-cuttable and chemically resistant properties, along with custom fabrication, EMI shielding, and thermal management, backed by over 40 years of experience and a new U.S. manufacturing facility launching in 2026.
