Its cordless range is built around the M12 and M18 battery systems, REDLITHIUM batteries introduced in 2010 and M18 FUEL products launched in 2012. The company designs, develops and manufactures its own battery packs and motors in-house, and its One-Key platform lets users track and manage tools.
Milwaukee Tool began in 1924 and is based in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Techtronic Industries acquired it in 2005. The company says it invented the technology that enabled the use of lithium-ion batteries in power tools.
