Its Genesis platform puts sensing, physics-based battery models and control on a single chip. Dual RISC-V processors let device makers run their own firmware alongside Overlord's code. The chip measures voltage, current and temperature, reports state of charge and state of health, detects cell faults before failure, and authenticates cells and packs at the hardware level. It targets wearables, hearables, robotics and edge AI devices.

Through its Early Technology Access Program, select OEM partners work with Genesis using simulation, FPGA prototyping and early firmware ahead of production silicon. Overlord Labs has announced that a former Texas Instruments battery management chief and a former acting US Secretary of the Army have joined its board.
