About
PowerFlex is a US company that develops and manages onsite solar, battery storage, EV charging and microgrids for businesses.
These run on its PowerFlex X energy management platform. For storage it covers the full project, from site valuation and incentive applications to engineering, procurement, construction, operation and asset management. It reports more than 500 MW of solar installed, over 50 MWh of storage and more than 70,000 EV chargers under management. PowerFlex began on the Caltech campus, was developed within EDF Renewables and was spun out in 2021, and The Mobility House North America has since combined with it.
The 2025 Battery Report lists PowerFlex under optimization and benchmarking in its BESS tech stack.
