About
Pulsetrain develops a powertrain unit that merges the battery management system, inverter and onboard charger into one software-defined system inside the pack.
A matrix of MOSFET switches and ASICs switches individual cells in and out at runtime, arranging them in series and parallel to produce a multi-level AC output that drives a three-phase motor directly, without a separate inverter. The design accepts AC and DC charging up to 1,000 V, adjusts output voltage independent of state of charge, and can bypass weak cells to extend pack life. Pulsetrain works with automotive and defence OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
