Sodion Energy
About
Sodion Energy is a Singapore company that makes 12-volt sodium-ion battery packs to replace lead-acid batteries in vehicles, equipment and stationary systems.
Its packs fit standard battery sizes and work with automotive alternators and 12-volt systems. Products include the Prometheus II starter battery for heat, humidity and start-stop traffic, and the Argus monoblock for backup power such as UPS strings. Sodion says its packs use IEC 62619-certified cells with no lithium, are rated to 70°C, weigh up to 60% less than lead-acid and last two to three times longer. Its site lists ST Engineering and UNIGRID among the companies that use or back it.
The 2025 Battery Report lists Sodion Energy among sodium-ion battery players in Asia-Pacific, in its cell/pack group.
