Its customers include municipal utilities, utilities, grid operators, power traders, aggregators and other BESS owners and investors, who can access battery flexibility without owning the assets. The company works with landowners, battery suppliers and communities on its projects, and organises BATCON, a conference for battery storage leaders, whose second edition is planned for 2027.

The 2025 Battery Report lists terralayr among aggregators in its BESS tech stack and cites it as a source on virtual power plants.
