About
The Clean Technology Training Trust is a national nonprofit that develops registered apprenticeship and training programs for clean transportation and advanced manufacturing.
It works with industry, labor, education, government and philanthropy, and is governed by a labor-management board. Its main effort is a Department of Labor registered apprenticeship for medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicle mechanics, and in 2026 it partnered with the University of Michigan Electric Vehicle Center on ZEV and battery systems curriculum.
CTTT is an IBEW affiliate and can deliver training across nearly 300 IBEW training centers in the United States. Its partners include IBEW, CALSTART and NAATBatt, and it has a separate apprenticeship partnership with the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System.
