About
Gellec is a Chinese maker of separators for lithium-ion batteries.
Founded in 2010 in Handan, Hebei, it develops, produces and sells wet-process separators and coated separators (ceramic, PVDF and mixed coatings) for consumer electronics, electric vehicles and energy storage, and it also makes breathable film. It runs production bases in Handan, Ma'anshan, Hefei, Tianjin and Zhijiang, has a CNAS-accredited lab and more than 200 patents, and helped draft China's national standard for polyolefin lithium-ion battery separators.
The 2025 Battery Report ranks Gellec among the largest separator makers by 2025 volume and market share, based on SNE Research data.
