It works across construction and infrastructure, energy, drinking water, healthcare, food, feed and farming, medical devices and radio and electrical equipment, with more than 12,000 employees at over 200 locations in more than 35 countries. In the energy transition it tests and certifies products and installations for renewable gas, hydrogen, solar, wind, electrification and battery energy storage systems, and it recently added PV Evolution Labs and PI Berlin North America to its solar business.

The 2025 Battery Report lists Kiwa under Battery Testing in its battery development value chain.
