The platform has three parts that work alone or together: Lab OS for planning, running, analyzing and troubleshooting experiments and batches; a managed database that pulls data from instruments, MES, LIMS, historians and other systems with batch genealogy built in; and Edge AI, which runs on process, test and metrology equipment inside a customer's firewall to catch drift and propose fixes for an engineer to approve.

The company, Niobia AI Inc., lists batteries among its target processes, covering electrode coating, cell assembly, formation and test, alongside semiconductors, coatings, fuel cells and solar cells. It says its system resolves failures 50 times faster.
