About
Taiyo Yuden is a Japanese maker of electronic components, from capacitors and inductors to power storage devices.
Its range includes multilayer ceramic capacitors, inductors, EMI suppression filters, common mode choke coils, SAW and FBAR devices, chip antennas and conductive polymer hybrid aluminium electrolytic capacitors. Its components go into mobile devices, automotive and industrial equipment, communication infrastructure and AI server power systems. Among products under development is a metal-supported solid oxide fuel cell (MS-SOFC).
The 2025 Battery Report lists Taiyo Yuden among solid-state battery players in Asia-Pacific, in its oxide electrolyte group.
