TETRA Technologies is a Texas-based energy services and industrial chemicals company that also supplies zinc bromide electrolyte for zinc-bromine batteries.
Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Spring, Texas, it works through two divisions: Completion Fluids & Products, which makes clear brine fluids, additives and calcium chloride, and Water & Flowback Services, which handles water management, flowback and well testing for oil and gas operators. Its energy storage product, TETRA PureFlow, is an ultra-pure zinc bromide clear brine fluid made in the USA from North American materials. The company also holds lithium brine resources.
The 2025 Battery Report lists TETRA in the Americas supply chain for zinc batteries, as an electrolyte supplier.
