Adena Power
About
Adena Power develops sodium-based battery cells and storage systems.
Its customers range from utilities and healthcare to fleet electrification, at grid scale and in small installations. Its cells use three patented materials, and the company describes its technology as a sodium solid-state battery. Adena says its batteries cost about 30% less than lithium-ion, carry no fire risk and are made entirely in the United States with a domestic supply chain. It has received U.S. Department of Energy funding, including a grant to integrate its batteries with wind energy, and works with Halliburton Labs.
The 2025 Battery Report lists Adena Power among sodium-ion battery players in the Americas, in its full-systems group.
