Anesco

It installed the UK's first commercial energy storage unit in September 2014 and has since connected 150 MW of storage across 33 sites, with a further 250 MW of battery projects under construction. It has also built 112 UK solar farms totalling 650 MW, uses its own revenue modelling tool to forecast long-term income from storage projects, and monitors 1.6 GW of clean energy across 24,000 assets. Anesco is one of the UK's largest providers of home energy efficiency upgrades, has a growing presence in Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark and Belgium, and is backed by Ara Partners.

The 2025 Battery Report lists Anesco among UK optimizers in its BESS tech stack.
