It covers central SCADA and remote operations control, local SCADA, power plant control, asset performance management, a BESS optimizer and energy trading. Isotrol began in 1984 as a spin-off from the University of Seville's School of Engineering, entered renewables in 1998 and energy trading in 2023, when it also joined the TKO Group. It says its systems run in more than 3,500 plants overseeing over 190 GW, with subsidiaries in Spain, the USA, Canada, Mexico, Chile and Brazil.

The 2025 Battery Report lists Bluence among optimizers serving North America and the UK and under monitoring and data in its BESS tech stack.
