For lithium and lithium-ion battery materials it supplies rotary calciners, rotary and drum dryers, drum flakers, vibratory fluid bed dryers and coolers, ribbon, paddle and tumble mixers, conveyors, dust collection and agglomeration equipment, used for drying, beneficiation, mixing and agglomeration of battery-grade lithium hydroxide. Its other markets include chemicals, food, mining and minerals, foundry and recycling, and it runs a test lab and innovation centre. Its member companies date back as far as 1845.

The 2025 Battery Report lists CPEG among U.S. battery equipment makers for the mixing step.
