About
SFA NEXEL, known in the 2025 Battery Report as CIS, is a South Korean maker of secondary battery electrode equipment.
It supplies wet-process coaters, roll presses (calenders), slitters, taping machines and a hybrid laser and mid-infrared drying coater, plus dry coaters for solvent-free electrodes, all-solid-state battery process machinery and sulfide-based solid electrolyte materials. It also makes electrode thickness measurement and cylindrical-cell vision inspection equipment, ESS battery handling automation, and inspection and deposition systems for semiconductors, PCBs and displays. Its head office is in Daegu, with plants in Daegu and Asan.
The 2025 Battery Report lists CIS among South Korean battery equipment makers for coating, calendering and slitting.
