About
Ronbay Technology (Ningbo Ronbay New Energy Technology) is a Chinese maker of cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries, listed on the Shanghai STAR Market.
Its main products are NCM523, NCM622 and NCM811 ternary cathode materials, and it says it was the first company in China to mass-produce NCM811. It is also growing an LMFP cathode business and has a sodium-ion battery division. Founded in 2014 by Chinese and Korean teams, it has subsidiaries in Hubei, Guizhou and Beijing and EMT in South Korea, and lists CATL, BYD, LG Chem and Lishen among its customers.
The 2025 Battery Report lists Ronbay among large-cap cathode producers and notes its MoU with Rock Tech Lithium for its Polish cathode plant and its role as CATL's top sodium-ion cathode supplier.
