Volta Commercial Vehicles, formerly Volta Trucks, develops the Volta Zero, which it calls the world's first purpose-built 16-tonne electric truck for urban logistics.
The truck has a central driving position and a bright cab designed for panoramic visibility, which the company says helps protect pedestrians and cyclists, a range of over 260 km depending on conditions, and bodies that can be adapted for different loads. The company runs customer trials across Europe and publishes driver survey scores from them.
The 2025 Battery Report shows Volta Trucks in the System Assembly stage of its map of emerging players valued above $30 million.
