GAC Group (Guangzhou Automobile Group) is a Chinese carmaker building SUVs, sedans and MPVs, including electric models under its AION and HYPTEC names.

Its international lineup includes the GS4 and GS8 SUVs, the M6, M8 and E9 MPVs, and the AION UT, ES, Y and V electric cars. GAC says it has developed the AEP 3.0 electric platform, the Magazine Battery 2.0, an L4 autonomous driving system and a smart factory.

The 2025 Battery Report notes Farasis Energy's December 2025 deal to supply 10 GWh of batteries for GAC Aion's European models and lists GAC among large-cap vehicle makers.
