Chery is a Chinese carmaker, part of Chery Group, founded in 1997 and known for its Arrizo sedans and Tiggo SUVs.
It says it has sold more than 15 million vehicles worldwide and does business in over 130 countries and regions. Its current range includes plug-in hybrids using its CSH hybrid system, such as the Tiggo 9 CSH. Chery Group reported sales of 2.21 million vehicles in the first three quarters of 2026.
The 2025 Battery Report lists Chery among large-cap vehicle makers and among carmakers interested in lithium metal batteries.
