CIDEcell
About
CIDEcell makes custom battery electrodes and pouch cells for demanding niche applications, as a spin-off of the Spanish battery research centre CIDETEC Energy Storage.
It helps materials makers prove new anodes and cathodes beyond lab scale, builds new chemistries and cell formats for OEMs, and serves battery makers as an alternative source of electrodes and cells. Its anodes include graphite, LTO and silicon-carbon, and its cathodes include NCA, NMC811, high-nickel NMC and LFP/LMFP. Beyond lithium-ion it works with solid-state, sodium-ion, lithium-sulfur and ultracapacitor technology, using water-based and dry electrode processing. Target uses include EVs, heavy vehicles, renewable storage, defense, marine, aircraft, drones, medical and space.
The 2025 Battery Report lists CIDEcell among solid-state battery players in EMEA, with an undisclosed electrolyte system.
