COBCO
About
COBCO is a Moroccan battery materials company making NCM precursors and LFP cathode material for customers in Europe and North America.
It is a joint venture between CNGR Advanced Materials, a Chinese precursor supplier, and AL MADA, a pan-African private equity fund based in Casablanca. Its plans cover refining, NCM precursor and LFP cathode production, and black mass recycling, with raw materials sourced from Moroccan and international partners. COBCO says its production capacity will soon be equivalent to 70 GWh of batteries.
The 2025 Battery Report notes that COBCO started production of NMC precursor (pCAM) at its new plant in Jorf Lasfar, Morocco, in June 2025.
