About
Grillo-Werke is a German industrial group in Duisburg that makes zinc and sulphur products, including zinc powder, foil and oxide for batteries.
Its wider range includes zinc alloys, wire and strip, and sulphuric acid derivatives. Through its Energy Solutions unit it supplies zinc products for battery makers: high-purity zinc powder (above 99.995% purity, particle sizes of 20 to 600 µm) for anodes in primary and rechargeable alkaline and zinc-ion batteries, zinc foil for zinc-ion anodes and current collectors, and zinc oxide. It offers a lower-carbon ECO ZINC variant of its foil. Group companies include RHEINZINK, GRILLO Zinc Metals and GRILLO Zinc Powder.
The 2025 Battery Report lists Grillo in the European supply chain for zinc batteries, among electrode material suppliers.
