About
KOEM is a South Korean maker of automatic winding machines for lithium batteries and capacitors.
For lithium batteries it builds winders for polymer, cylindrical and large prismatic cells used in EVs, e-bikes and motorcycles, power tools and UPS and storage systems, with automatic electrode and separator change, ultrasonic multi-tab welding, CCD vision inspection and high-speed edge position control. For capacitors it makes winders for film, electrolytic and EDLC types. Its head office is in Seoul, with factories in Pyeongtaek and Anseong and a central R&D centre in Anseong.
The 2025 Battery Report lists KOEM among South Korean battery equipment makers for the winding step.
