About
Lopal Tech (Jiangsu Lopal Tech) is a Chinese company in new energy battery materials and automotive chemicals, founded in Nanjing in 2003.
It listed in Shanghai in 2017 as an automotive fine chemicals maker and in Hong Kong in 2024. Its main business is now cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries, built partly on the cathode business it bought from BTR. The group lists production bases in Tianjin, Sichuan and Shandong. It has also invested in sodium-ion materials and ternary precursors, and its Kelas subsidiaries make automotive environmental chemicals.
The 2025 Battery Report lists LOPAL among large-cap cathode producers and among LFP cathode producers in China and in Asia outside China.
