Rongke Power
About
Rongke Power (RKP) is a Chinese maker of vanadium flow batteries and grid-scale storage systems, founded in 2008 by a team of scientists.
It reports more than 580 patents, over 3.9 GWh of installed capacity worldwide and annual production capacity of 1 GW / 4.5 GWh. Its water-based electrolyte avoids thermal runaway, and it designs its batteries to keep full capacity for over 25 years and more than 25,000 cycles. Products include the UPower, SPower and EPower series and flow battery stacks, used for grid services, renewable integration, microgrids and market arbitrage. RKP says it delivered the first GWh-scale vanadium flow battery project at the end of 2025.
The 2025 Battery Report covers Rongke's 100 MW / 400 MWh VRB project and its iron-vanadium flow battery for Saudi Aramco.
