i-Battery (IBTR)
About
i-Battery (IBTR, 艾博特瑞) is a Chinese maker of vanadium redox flow battery storage systems, based in Suzhou.
The company was set up in March 2023 and started its first vanadium flow battery production line in October 2023; in 2024 it expanded battery production capacity to 1 GWh and added a 500 MW bipolar plate line and 500 MWh of electrolyte capacity. It develops its own stack design, electrolyte formulations, BMS and IoT cloud platform. Its containerised systems come in 20-ft, 40-ft and custom sizes, from 50 to 100 kWh up to GWh scale, with 2 to 10 hours or more of discharge and 16,000 cycles.
The 2025 Battery Report lists i-Battery among Asia-Pacific flow battery players.
