About
WeView (纬景储能) is a Chinese maker of zinc-based flow batteries for long-duration energy storage.
It says it solved the zinc dendrite problem in 2019, completed field validation with domestic demonstration projects in 2021 and opened its first automated production line in 2023, followed in 2024 by a GW-scale factory. It now has factories in Zhuhai, Linyi and Yichang. Its zinc-iron flow battery is on China's 2024 green technology promotion list. The company is launching a 'Token battery' line aimed at AI data centres, using an alkaline water-based electrolyte and 4 to 12 hours of storage, alongside its grid batteries.
The 2025 Battery Report lists WeView among Asia-Pacific flow battery players.
