SambaNova Systems designs AI inference hardware built around its own reconfigurable dataflow unit (RDU) chip.
Founded in 2017 in Palo Alto, California, it builds the chips, the racks and systems they run in, and the compiler and orchestration software, and delivers them as one platform for neocloud operators, enterprises and governments to run in their own data centers. It also offers SambaCloud. The company stresses energy efficiency: it says its systems can be deployed in existing data centers on available power, and it promotes sovereign AI, where organisations control their own infrastructure, models and data.
